Job Title: Senior Operations Manager - Commercial Solar Projects

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our Commercial Solar Projects division. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational planning and execution of commercial solar projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a technical team of 5 and recruitment duties as the business continues, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee operational planning and execution of commercial solar projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and maintain high standards of health and safety across all projects.
  • Create and manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient project management and timely delivery of services.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear reporting and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, implementing necessary changes to maintain timelines and quality.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and offer insights on operational efficiencies and risk management.

Requirements:

  • A degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong electrical understanding, preferably with experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Proven experience in managing large commercial contracts, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Health and safety awareness with NEBOSH and SMSTS qualifications highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to project management.
  • Experience with project management software and other relevant tools.
