Senior Childcare Worker Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Youth Practitioner to join our team at Dorset Council. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

About the Role:

You will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care and support. Your responsibilities will include engaging children in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being, developing and implementing care plans, and building strong relationships with children and their families.

  • Active participation: engage children in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Care plan implementation: work closely with other team members, families, and external agencies to provide the best possible care for the child.
  • Relationship building: establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, providing a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements:

This is a full-time role at 37 hours per week. Some travel may involve working from home on occasion.
