Electronic Customer Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Customer Support Engineer to join our team at Jackie Kerr Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients, ensuring their equipment is operational and correctly configured.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote support to our customers
  • Ensure a single point of contact for after-sales support
  • Raise and track faults/issues, requesting returns for investigation
  • Assist in pre- and post-visit equipment maintenance and software configurations
  • Record unit allocations and assist customers in organizing spare units
  • Perform ad-hoc production duties, including building and assembling mechanical and electronic equipment
  • Support the production team in quality checking/testing products before dispatch
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience with electronics/electronic technologies (HW and SW)
  • Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Basic working knowledge of multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and write detailed technical reports
  • IT literacy in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Comfortable traveling to customer sites in the UK and abroad
  • Valid driving license and passport
Working Hours and Benefits:
  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:30
  • Subject to change, including evenings and weekends (paid at a premium)
  • Additional benefits include £300 per weekend for a full weekend at a race track, plus a day off in lieu
