Electronic Customer Support Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of systems, is seeking an Electronic Customer Support Engineer to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote support to customers
  • Ensure customers have a single point of contact for after-sales support
  • Ensure customers' equipment is operational and correctly configured
  • Raise faults and request returns for investigation
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and software configurations
  • Record unit allocations and help customers organize spare units
  • Perform ad-hoc production duties, including building and assembling equipment
  • Support the production team in quality checking and testing products

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of electronics and electronic technologies
  • Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Basic working knowledge of multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and write technical reports
  • IT literacy in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Comfortable traveling to customer sites in the UK and abroad
  • Hold a driving license and a valid passport

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:30
  • Subject to change, including evenings and weekends (paid at a premium)
  • Offer £300 a weekend for a full weekend at a race track extra to their salary plus a day off in lieu
