Electronics Support Engineer Opportunity

Bicester

£35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum

Our client, a leading manufacturer of electronic systems, is seeking an Electronics Support Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the customer support team, you will provide technical assistance to customers on site and remotely, ensuring seamless after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers on site and remotely.
  • Ensure customers have a single point of contact for after-sales support.
  • Ensure customers' equipment is operational and correctly configured.
  • Raise faults/issues and request returns for investigation, tracking to conclusion.
  • Assist in pre and post-visit equipment maintenance and software configurations.
  • Record unit allocation, helping customers organize spare units.
  • Ad Hoc Production duties: Building/assembling mechanical and electronic equipment, using heat guns, crimping, and soldering pins.
  • Support the production team in quality checking/testing products before dispatch.
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills (concise, clear, timely, and appropriate media used).
  • Knowledge and/or experience with electronics/electronic technologies (HW and SW).
  • Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters.
  • Experience with design of electronics components/design engineering.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings (reading of wiring schematics beneficial).
  • Basic working knowledge of multimeters (preferably Oscilloscope).
  • Ability to read and write detailed technical reports.
  • IT literacy in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable travelling to customer sites in the UK and abroad.
  • Hold a driving license and a valid passport.
Working Hours + Benefits:
  • Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:30.
  • Subject to change, including evenings and weekends (Paid at a Premium).
  • Offer £300 a weekend for a full weekend at a race track extra to their salary plus a day off in lieu.
