Electronic Customer Support Engineer

Bicester

£35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum

Our client designs and manufactures systems for their clients in the UK and abroad. They are seeking an Electronic Customer Support Engineer to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote support to customers.
  • Ensure customers have a single point of contact for after-sales support.
  • Ensure customers' equipment is operational and correctly configured.
  • Raise faults/issues and request returns for investigation, tracking faults to conclusion.
  • Assist with pre- and post-visit equipment maintenance and software configurations.
  • Record unit allocations, helping customers organize spare units.
  • Perform ad-hoc production duties, including building/assembling mechanical and electronic equipment.
  • Support the production team in quality checking/testing products before dispatch.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with electronics/electronic technologies (HW and SW).
  • Understanding of Ethernet networks and fibre optic converters.
  • Experience with design of electronics components/design engineering.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings (reading of wiring schematics beneficial).
  • Basic working knowledge of multimeters (preferably Oscilloscope).
  • Ability to read and write detailed technical reports.
  • IT literacy in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable traveling to customer sites in the UK and abroad.
  • Hold a driving license and a valid passport.
Working Hours + Benefits:
  • Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:30.
  • Subject to change, including evenings and weekends (Paid at a Premium).
  • Offer £300 a weekend for a full weekend at a race track extra to their salary plus a day off in lieu.
