Job Title: Business Operations Assistant

Description:

We are seeking a Business Operations Assistant to provide financial transaction processing support to both staff and PhD students within the School. This role will support our core research and finance activities, working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions, including invoices and payments, with high levels of accuracy and numeracy.
  • Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to support financial transaction processing, ensuring good time management and organisational skills.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with staff and students.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance team to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.

Requirements:

  • High levels of numeracy and accuracy in financial transaction processing.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience of working in an office environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
