Job Description

As a Biomedical Scientist or Trainee, you will be responsible for performing manual, semi-automated, and fully automated laboratory investigations as required.

You will service and maintain diagnostic equipment, take corrective action in the event of equipment failure, and report to the BMS team manager.

This role requires specialist knowledge and skills, particularly in the area of biomedical science.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

You should also possess essential IT skills or equivalent, as well as experience in all areas of chosen discipline and supervision and training.

In addition, you should have a good understanding of underpinning theory of laboratory practice in area of chosen discipline, laboratory health and safety, COSHH, and risk assessment.

Practical laboratory skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and good organisational skills are also essential for this role.
