About the Role
The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Associate Practitioner in Blood Sciences to join our team. As a key member of our Blood Sciences service, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive service to North Cumbria Hospitals and primary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support biomedical scientists in the day-to-day activities of the laboratory, including performing laboratory tests according to protocol and interpreting routine results.
- Supervise and train support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.
- Receive samples into the laboratory, ensuring compliance with minimum acceptance criteria, and deal with discrepancies where appropriate.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
