Carlisle, Cumbria, United Kingdom North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Join our pioneering team as a Clinical Educator Specialist, where you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care through education and training, acting as a positive role model across the organisation.

The successful candidate will provide professional leadership for the continued development of Advanced Practitioners (ACPs), promote a proactive approach to clinical education, and support the delivery of 1:1 clinical education.

A key aspect of this role is to create tailored education by liaising with clinical leaders and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to support ACPs in developing the required competences and skills to deliver safe and effective care to patients, while conforming to relevant regulatory governance and organisational requirements.

As a Clinical Educator Specialist, you will be allocated around 10-12 trainees within your portfolio, providing 6 x 1 hour sessions per trainee per year, as well as 3.5 day sessions repeated throughout the year, along with 10 hours of preparation time per agenda.

This leaves 48 hours throughout the year for ad-hoc requests or trainees with additional training needs.

We are committed to delivering outstanding healthcare services to the population of North Cumbria, with a focus on creating a centre of excellence in providing rural and remote healthcare.

Our five key principles demonstrate our commitment to delivering 'safe, high-quality care every time': being a clinically led organisation, quality and safety at the heart of our Trust, a positive patient experience every time, a great place to work, and managing our money well.

We are serious about supporting a diverse workforce that reflects our local community and are focused on being an inclusive and compassionate place to work.

Across the North East and North Cumbria, we are working together to deliver our ambition to be the greenest region in England by 2030. All staff are expected to support sustainability.

Salary: £44,414 - £63,718 per annum (dependent on experience).
