Technical Laboratory Specialist

The CK Group is a renowned multinational provider of technical services, operating from its base in Wilton. They are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.
About the RoleThis laboratory role will involve working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the success of the company by ensuring high-quality analytical results for customers. Key responsibilities include:
- FOLLOWING LABORATORY METHODS AND PROCEDURES TO SPECIFICATION AND ISSUE QUALITY ASSURED RESULTS TO CUSTOMERS.
- MANAGING OWN WORK BY SEQUENCING TASKS AND PRIORITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNED ANALYTICAL SCHEDULES.
- LIAISING WITH CUSTOMERS, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TO DETERMINE REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES, IDENTIFY OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS AND ENSURE FINANCIAL RECOVERY IS MADE FOR THE SERVICES PROVIDED.
- DEVELOPING (AS APPROPRIATE) AND CARRYING OUT SHE, COSHH, RISK ASSESSMENT, SAFETY / HOUSEKEEPING AND QUALITY RELATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDING AUDITS AS REQUIRED BY THE RELEVANT SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES.
- ACTIONING AS THE FOCAL POINT FOR SPECIFIC AREAS WITHIN THE LABORATORY AND ACTIVELY MANAGING THE DELIVERY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THAT SERVICE OFFERING.
- CHECKING, MAINTAINING, OVERHAULING, AND LIAISING WITH CALLED OUT ANALYTICAL INSTRUMENT ENGINEERS TO MAXIMISE THE UPTIME AVAILABILITY OF THE LABORATORY EQUIPMENT.
- SUPPORTING AND LEADING WHEREVER POSSIBLE THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW METHODS AND COMMISSIONING OF NEW EQUIPMENT.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- A HNC/DEGREE IN SCIENCE DISCIPLINE.
- AT LEAST 2 YEARS INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE IN THE APPLICATION OF TECHNICAL SKILLS IN AN EQUIVALENT LABORATORY ROLE.
- GOOD SHE AWARENESS INCLUDING APPLICATION OF COSHH, RISK ASSESSMENTS AND LABORATORY STANDARDS.
