Restaurant Manager Job Description

Parsonage Grill, a renowned restaurant within the esteemed Old Parsonage Hotel, is seeking an exceptional Restaurant Manager to lead our team. Our restaurant is celebrated for its intimate atmosphere, and our menu philosophy focuses on showcasing the finest local produce to create sophisticated yet simple British dishes.

We are part of 'The Oxford Collection', a small, privately owned group of luxury hotels and restaurants in central Oxford, comprising Gees Restaurant & Bar, the Old Parsonage Hotel, Parsonage Grill, the Old Bank Hotel, and Quod Restaurant & Bar. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Motivate and inspire team members, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Assist with staff training and development.
Requirements for the Role:
  • A passion for hospitality, with a keen interest in food, wine, and restaurant culture.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate people, with experience of dining in similar restaurants.
  • A willingness to learn, with strong written English and IT literacy skills.
  • Previous management experience is beneficial, although full training will be provided.

We offer a flexible shift pattern, working 5 days out of 7 per week, on a Monday-Sunday rota. You will be offered an OTE up to £37,400 per annum, including non-contractual tronc (service charge).
