Senior Commercial Director

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to lead our commercial growth strategy at TalkTalk. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an entrepreneurial and commercially savvy individual who can drive business growth and profitability.
As a Commercial Director, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and executing our commercial growth strategy. You will have accountability for supplier and partner relationships, core commercial functions, customer lifecycle management, forecasting, and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial growth strategy that aligns with TalkTalk's 5-year plan.
- Lead the commercial evaluation governance process, ensuring that all projects, products, and change requests are thoroughly evaluated and approved.
- Drive cost transformation across TalkTalk, challenging and improving up-front costs, retention costs, and re-contracting costs.
- Establish a virtual team to target customers with value-accretive deals, and develop bundles and products with the Product team to offer existing customers loyalty exclusives.
- Support decision-making across all digital and agent channels, minimizing down-sell and value dilution through re-contracting and retention.
- Provide validated, bottoms-up volume forecasts across product and channel, underpinning the budget process, and drive the quarterly planning process to ensure that TalkTalk has sufficient actions in place to meet budget or reforecast volumes.
Requirements:
- Proven commercial acumen and negotiation ability, with excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
- Able to build multi-level relationships across TalkTalk and command respect when presenting to Senior management, Platform X, and end-suppliers.
- Excellent stakeholder management, clear and concise communication, and the ability to work with other TalkTalk functions to ensure cross-functional success.
- A proven agent of change, able to organize, coordinate, and deliver in complexity.
- A good understanding of TalkTalk strategy and commercial considerations.
