About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Receptionist/Telephonist to join our Community Mental Health Team. As the first point of contact for service users, families, and visitors, you will provide a welcoming and friendly service, using appropriate communication skills to support access to services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deal with incoming telephone calls, emails, and voicemail messages for the Service, diverting appropriately or taking accurate messages, liaising with the wider admin team and/or management as required.
  • Facilitate the smooth running of reception, providing a welcoming and friendly service to patients and visitors, including greeting service users and visitors, providing admin support to clinics, and ensuring patient records are correct and up-to-date.
  • Operate the Trust patient record system to retrieve and record information received relating to service users.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a methodical approach to work, and experience of working in a reception environment dealing with patients/general public in person and by phone. You should also have IT experience using Microsoft Office, particularly email and Word.
