Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate vet to work with a varied caseload of small animals and farm animal work.

About the Practice:

  • Our practice is a six-centre, mixed animal veterinary surgery situated in the heart of the Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • We have a busy and varied caseload of small animals and farm animal work.
  • We are a first-opinion general practice focusing on quality work.

The Role:

  • We currently have an opportunity for an experienced mixed animal vet to join our friendly 27-vet team.
  • You will be working with a thriving sheep business, numerous camelids, and historic, generational Lake District hill farms.
  • You will have access to excellent facilities including portable digital radiography and numerous portable ultrasound units.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Full day off after a weekend on call.
  • 6 pro-rata weeks of paid holiday per year, including public holidays, with an additional allowance for long service.
  • Hours worked overtime returned as time off in lieu.
  • Optional holiday purchase scheme of up to 1 week pro-rata.
  • Relocation support - we have two practice houses, so often accommodation is available as part of the package.
