£40,312 per annum (FT, 41 hours/week)

This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a team delivering high-profile temporary exhibitions at the British Museum. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues across the museum and external partners to drive the delivery of innovative, audience-focused exhibitions.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a skilled project coordinator to manage all aspects of exhibitions and public-facing projects from brief to closure and evaluation.

The successful candidate will have experience managing public-facing projects involving multi-disciplined teams, with a proven track record in risk management, issue resolution, budget management, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • To develop delivery teams for individual projects and ensure relevant stakeholders contribute to their success.
  • To guarantee timely completion of delegated projects within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • To create clear project objectives and schedules highlighting critical paths and key milestones.
  • To plan financial estimates and resource requirements from both internal staff and external contractors.
  • To identify and manage risks associated with each project.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Considerable experience in project coordination, preferably in a museum setting.
  • Persuasive and able to influence others to achieve buy-in to a project.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
