About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the British Museum as a key member of our Advancement team. As Events and Membership Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a high-quality events programme for Supporters and Members, making best use of resources to ensure Supporters feel valued.

The role involves developing, managing, and evaluating each event, including overseeing all elements of event planning (including event briefs and risk assessments). You will also support the Museum's Patrons programme and the stewardship of wider Supporters by working with the Museum's central Events team to plan and execute on-site events for Patrons and other Museum supporters.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organised and creative, with excellent planning skills and a strong understanding of event design, development, delivery, and review. You will also be confident in your ability to manage both large and small events, following relevant legislation and health and safety guidance.

We offer a competitive salary of £36,448.65 per annum, plus benefits including generous annual leave allowance, membership of the civil service defined benefit pension scheme, and free entry to a wide range of museums and exhibitions.
