Community Public Health Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Community Public Health Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the public's health, particularly among children and families in our community.
Main Responsibilities
As a Community Public Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the Health Child Programme in accordance with national and local strategy/guidance. This will involve undertaking universal and targeted assessments, mandated well-being reviews, and packages of care in line with evidence-based practice. You will also work closely with clients in various community settings, including homes, clinics, children's centres, and educational establishments.
Key Skills and Qualities
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and prioritize care delivery in a professional manner. You will also need to be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support the implementation of local and national agendas for health under the guidance of the team lead/ward manager.

Essential Criteria
- Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body – NMC
Desirable Criteria
- Higher education modules in: Level 6 Early Intervention in Public Health; Level 6 Child Development and Assessment
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment
Desirable Criteria
- Ability to demonstrate clinically effective practice with children and families
Knowledge
Essential Criteria
- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS Knowledge of up to date clinical practice
Skills and Abilities

- Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written); Ability to self-manage within a team environment; Ability to use own initiative
