Job Overview


Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Immunisation Nurse to join our team in Gravesend and Dartford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of scheduled school-age immunisations across Kent and Medway.



Main Responsibilities


As an Immunisation Nurse, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for providing clinical judgement and leadership to support the safe delivery of routine immunisations in schools, homes, clinics, and outreach settings.


Key duties include:



  • Supporting the implementation of local and national agendas for health under the guidance of the team lead/ward manager
  • Motivating and inspiring a team of vaccinators to deliver against challenging targets
  • Providing feedback and reports on the programme as it progresses

Person Specification


The ideal candidate will possess:



  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., NMC or HCPC)
  • A degree in a health-related subject or willingness to complete a degree within 3 years of appointment
  • Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment
  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), ability to organise own work, and ability to cope with change
