About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Owner and be responsible for:

  • Preparing client accounts, tax returns, PAYE or VAT work, and identifying areas for partner consultation and potential additional services.
  • Finalising paperwork for dispatch to clients and HMRC, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Interpreting tax returns and financial accounts to facilitate effective tax planning.
  • Monitoring job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets, meeting targets and exceeding where possible.
  • Bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier management, and management accounts as required.
  • Preparing client tax returns and advising on tax payable and payment dates.
  • Assisting clients with accounts software and bookkeeping queries as needed.
  • Completing overtime as required and attending relevant courses.
  • Involvement in networking and business generation under senior team members' guidance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Accountancy Specialist.
  • Highly commercial approach.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
