Financial Reporting Specialist

We are recruiting for a Financial Reporting Specialist to work in our Abingdon office.

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
- Preparing control account reconciliations and other month-end procedures.
- Preparing quarterly management accounts for onward submission to clients.
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all financial reports and tasks.
- Liaising with clients directly or through relevant managers to resolve queries or obtain further information.
- Developing and maintaining good client relationships and ensuring a high level of service to meet client expectations.
- AAT level 3 or 4 qualification or equivalent, or studying towards ACCA or ACA certification.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in accounts preparation within a practice environment.
- Strong practical knowledge and experience of cloud-based accounting systems, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A basic understanding of tax laws and regulations, including PAYE and VAT.
