Geoscience Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geoscience Specialist to join our team in Abingdon, MD. As a Geoscience Specialist, you will be responsible for developing thorough knowledge of standard field sampling procedures for various environmental media.

• Develop knowledge of standard field sampling procedures for environmental media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air.
• Participate in or lead field sampling teams to collect samples from various environmental media.
• Document and record data and observations in a clear and organized manner.
• Analyze, evaluate, and interpret hydrologic, geologic, and chemical data obtained during investigations.

• 1-2 years of experience in environmental consulting, including field-sampling procedures, monitoring well installation, CERCLA, and DOD installations.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to work in both office and outside environments and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
