Job Brief

SGX Group is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Europe Index Development team as an Equity Index Research and Development Lead. The role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to develop new indices, starting from idea conception to index construction and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and generate thematic content tailored to institutional and retail audiences
  • Create and implement end-to-end development of new equity index strategies across themes and strategies
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to build indices in line with objectives
  • Present scenario analysis and proposals to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Write detailed index rebalancing, review, and calculation methodologies in line with objectives and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure successful ongoing management of new indices
  • Manage research and data vendor relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM subjects or Finance, Economics
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Index Management, index research or product development with an index provider or investment bank
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to work with large datasets
  • Strong command of various index strategies and corporate actions treatment
  • Python programming skills and advanced MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with ESG and Climate investing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen interest in financial market trends
