We are seeking an Index Sales Specialist who is familiar with the structured product and equity derivatives ecosystem and the design and attributes of index solutions offered by sell-side firms. As an Index Sales Specialist, you will guide the firm's design, adoption, and education of Bloomberg Index products for use within Sell-side products and workflows.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers and influencers across regional and global sell-side organizations to provide them with consultative, commercially focused index solutions.
You will be involved in all aspects of account management, including senior-level relationship management and in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodologies, new product development, and positioning relevant solutions to clients.
- Take a lead role in conducting internal and external training sessions and sales pitches.
- Work with clients throughout the sales process, including commercial terms, contract execution, and driving distribution support.
- Travel regularly to meet with clients and prospects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience and understanding of the index landscape, index solution design, and index data usage within sell-side firms and the structured product issuance landscape.
- Experience working in or selling index products to sell-side firms or alternatively, experience in structuring/designing quantitative index solutions (QIS) or Structured Retail Products.
- An astute commercial mindset, working to exceed sales metrics.
- Demonstrable ability to identify new prospects and build/maintain meaningful client relationships.
- Excellent client communication skills in conversational speech, writing, and public speaking.
- Aptitude to excel in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
- Working proficiency in additional European languages would be a plus.
$150,000 - $200,000 per year
