Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Geography. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of evidence-based floodplain management practices for resilient riverine communities.

The project will involve collaborating with local/Indigenous communities and stakeholders, using advanced modelling tools and collecting field data. Key responsibilities include characterising land use and change, conducting hydrological modelling under climate change scenarios, and assessing river network hydro-morphology. A strong track record of research in hydrology and/or fluvial geomorphology is required, as well as experience with numerical modelling, Geographical Information Systems, and working across spatial scales. The role offers a salary of £37,999 per annum for a 27-month fixed-term position at 1 FTE.
