Opportunity Overview
The University of Lincoln's Department of Geography invites applications for a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join the Catchments and Coasts Research Group. This opportunity contributes to the GCBC-funded project Sustainable Riverscape Management for Resilient Riverine Communities.

This research aims to develop evidence-based floodplain management practices that increase eco-geomorphological diversity of rivers while enhancing sustainable resource use and improving local community livelihoods. The collaboration couples dialogue with local/Indigenous communities and stakeholders, advanced modelling tools, and field data collection.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in hydrology and/or fluvial geomorphology, as well as experience with numerical modelling, Geographical Information Systems, and working across spatial scales. A salary of £37,999 per annum is offered for this full-time and fixed-term position at 1 FTE.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Characterising land use and change
  2. Hydrological modelling under climate change scenarios
  3. Hydro-morphological assessment of river networks
  4. Quantification of ecosystem services
