Data Science Position at Farm B

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to contribute to our research project 'HiRes-Soils: Robotic platforms for high-resolution maps of soil carbon and GHG emissions', funded by the Innovate UK agency.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between £50,000 and £70,000, based on industry standards and qualifications required.

Job Description
  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends and insights, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prediction Modeling: Develop and implement machine learning models to forecast outcomes and identify patterns.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various APIs to support predictive modeling and analytics tasks.
  • Spatial Analysis: Utilize geospatial tools to analyze and visualize data related to soil carbon and GHG emissions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for this role.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and other relevant tools.
  • Data Science Expertise: A strong background in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis is required.
  • API Integration: Experience working with APIs for data retrieval and integration is necessary.
  • Able to adapt to varying physical objects of development.
