About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nursing Expert to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Nurse in Hydrocephalus, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a specialist service with a focus on hydrocephalus and CSF dynamics disorders.

You will work closely with neurosurgeons, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, infusion technicians, and a service co-ordinator to provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues. You will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of clinical excellence within the hydrocephalus service and undertaking practice innovation and research within your specialist area.

Main duties include managing and leading a specialist service, ensuring high quality and cost-effective healthcare, assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, and evaluating care as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills, and being involved in strategic reviews of clinical services as appropriate.
