About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Apheresis Team Lead Nurse to join our Haemato-Oncology team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing Apheresis procedures, whilst also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth transition of patients through the Apheresis process, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes, and mentoring junior staff members. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to the development of clinical policies and guidelines.

This role offers a highly competitive salary package, estimated at £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working hours, on-site leisure facilities, and a comprehensive training program.

The ideal candidate will possess current registration with the NMC, chemotherapy competence, mentorship skills, and evidence of continuous professional development. Relevant post-registration experience in Apheresis is essential, along with expertise in managing acutely ill/deteriorating patients and providing effective leadership within the team.
