Located in Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border, this Outstanding CQC-rated home provides a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.

The Role:

This role involves highly involved personal care, supporting the young people with all aspects of personal hygiene including toileting, dressing, and maintaining their personal appearance. Additionally, you will assist with medical needs and participate in therapies such as rebound therapy or hydrotherapy in our newly renovated pool.

We promote independence wherever possible, allowing the young adults to run their own days with what they like to do. This may involve helping make things in the site's enterprise scheme, going on shopping trips, taking part in forestry lessons, or even attending the pub.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Willingness to learn and go the extra mile
  • Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Resilience with a robust and positive nature
  • Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults
  • Ability to work on a rota pattern which includes working every other weekend

No experience necessary Full training given and continued support. Opportunity to study for Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care, funded by us. Part-time hours available if required.
