About Our Client

Kent County Council, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, is currently seeking a Social Worker for its Fostering Team in Canterbury and Dover. The ideal candidate should have prior fostering experience.

Job Overview

This role involves managing a varied caseload, including initial visits and assessments for fostering applicants, kinship carers, and those applying for Special Guardianship and Child Arrangement Orders. The successful candidate must adhere to the Social Care Capability Framework and managed casework within clear supervision frameworks.

Key Duties

  1. Provide high-quality training for potential foster carers and kinship carers.
  2. Collaborate with the Team Manager and colleagues to promote the Kent Fostering service and offer to all carers.
  3. Foster strong relationships with various stakeholders, including statutory agencies, voluntary organizations, and those with parental responsibility.
  4. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
  5. Pursue professional development through training and workshops.

Salary Details

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £45,000-£60,000 per year, dependent on experience. This position is part of a larger organization, Connect2Kent, a trading style of Commercial Services Kent LTD, owned by Kent County Council.
