About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Fostering Team as a Foster Care Specialist. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, conducting assessments, delivering preparation training for prospective foster carers, and supporting the team manager to promote 'Kent Fostering' services.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and families, in line with the Social Care Capability Framework.
- Design and deliver preparation training programs for prospective foster carers, focusing on their development and well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote 'Kent Fostering' services, providing excellent advice and support to potential foster carers and kinship carers.
- Foster strong relationships with statutory agencies, voluntary organizations, and private sector partners to achieve better outcomes for children and families.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, local policies, and procedures, applying this expertise to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fostering, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. The salary for this role is £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
