As a skilled Family Time Worker with Staffordshire County Council, you will play a critical role in supporting children placed in Local Authority Foster Care.

We're seeking an individual to join our team with the skills to encourage and help maintain positive relationships between children and parents.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable children, ensuring professional relationships are maintained while managing complex family needs and behaviors.

Your primary focus will be on supporting families to spend quality time together, promoting a positive and meaningful experience for children with their family.

This may involve offering support, guidance, and parenting advice or modeling positive interaction and behaviors.

You will also coordinate arrangements for Family Time and transport children to attend sessions.

A minimum NVQ 3 in working with children and families or equivalent experience is required, as well as excellent IT skills and knowledge of child development and trauma.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed.

Staffordshire County Council offers a supportive working environment and flexible working options, with a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
