This exciting opportunity exists for a Care and Support Specialist to join our team at Belong Newcastle-Under-Lyme. As a valued member of our staff, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of care and service towards customers, relatives, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote resident independence and self-esteem through empathetic and person-centred approaches.
  • Assist with daily activities, such as personal care, mealtime support, and safe moving.
  • Maintain accurate records for each resident, ensuring confidentiality and respect for their dignity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver tailored care plans, responding to changing needs and preferences.
  • Respect and promote residents' rights, dignity, and autonomy at all times.

Requirements:

  • Able to work well under pressure, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in response to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting, with a focus on dementia care (desirable).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care, promoting dignity and respect for all individuals.
