About the Role

Cumbria Health is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join our team as an Administration and Coding Clerk. As a key member of our Administration and Coding Hub, you will play a vital role in supporting our six Cumbria Health GP Practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the GP Practices, including data input, recall, scanning, and coding of clinical correspondence.
  • Process patient referrals using the electronic referral service (ERS) to support Cumbria Health practices when they are short-staffed in their secretarial teams.
  • Scan and code all incoming discharge letters and any patient-related incoming post into the patients' medical records and workflow to the GP.
  • Assist with medical records tasks sent by the wider practice team.
  • Help process and direct online patient requests received via the Digital Assessment Service (DAS).
  • Answer patient queries received via the practice website submission form.
  • Provide support to the other members of the ACT Hub.
Requirements
  • NHS e-referral system experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience of dealing with the public.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
