About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Support Worker to join our team at Penderels Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with a young boy with autism, global development delay, and non-verbal communication needs. The individual is high-energy and requires constant supervision to ensure their safety and well-being.



Key Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care, including toileting, showering/bathing, and dressing.

• Assist with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.

• Provide transportation to and from school/work/social activities.

• Support the individual in accessing sporting and leisure activities.

• Encourage socialization and participation in activities.


Requirements

• Be honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy.

• Be able to work independently and follow instructions accurately.

• Possess a caring and patient attitude, with previous experience in childcare/special needs.
