About the Role
As a Personal Assistant for a Young Person with Autism, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and care to a 14-year-old boy in Durham. This rewarding role requires a calm and patient individual who can establish trust with the child and their family.

Your duties will include overnight respite care, day respite, and community-based activities. You will work closely with a 2:1 carer ratio to ensure the child's needs are met. A driving license and reliable transportation are necessary for this position.

We offer a salary of £12 per hour, negotiable for self-employed personal assistants. If you are dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Overnight respite care (20 hours every fortnight) with a 2:1 carer ratio.
- Day respite care (6 hours weekly during school holidays) with a 2:1 carer ratio.
- Assisting with personal hygiene and toileting needs.
- Providing one-on-one interaction, sensory stimulation, or activity-based therapy.
