Role Overview

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative team that provides early mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in the community. You'll work independently to deliver high-quality, outcome-informed, low-intensity therapy-based interventions. This role will involve working in person and online, and you'll be based in Bracknell with flexibility to work from home where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems
  • Work with children and young people who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services
  • Support professionals in various settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing
  • Care-coordinate and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools
  • Develop and provide training for professionals, parents, and carers, and children and young people

Person Specification

Essential qualifications and experience include a graduate diploma or postgraduate diploma qualification as a Children Wellbeing Practitioner, a British Psychological Society-accredited or BABCP-accredited CWP training course, and a minimum of two years' experience of working with children and young people. Desirable qualifications and experience include a psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree, evidence of continuous professional development in child and adolescent mental health, and experience of working in or with a diverse or multi-cultural community.
