Job Title: Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Supervisor

Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full-time Band 7 practitioner (qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Supervision) to join the CAMHS Mental Health Support Team. We have positions available in our Slough and Bracknell localities.

Main Duties:
Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
Evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.
Within schools actively promote the whole school-based approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being.
Provide leadership to the MHST, and deputising leadership to the team as required.
Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Training to professionals
Supervision, as appropriate to role - see detailed job description in separate attachment.

Requirements:
Appropriate qualification as either a Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist (Doctoral) level training and relevant UK Professional Registration (HCPC/BPS) or as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist (MA/MSc qualification with full registration as a Systemic Psychotherapist with UKCP) or appropriate qualification to be an existing CAMHS clinician at Band 7 for example, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse, CBT Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
Supervision qualification, or willingness to undertake supervision training
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of mental health and able to demonstrate significant practice.
CYP IAPT Training CBT, Systemic Family Therapy, Attachment based training Interpersonal Therapy [IPT].
Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the relevant professional body.
Post qualifying experience or equivalent experience working with children and young people in the field of mental health.
Experience of working with evidence based approaches in mental health.
Good level knowledge of the theory and practice of psychological interventions.
An enthusiasm for using Routine Outcome Measures.
Experience of formulation, assessment and treatment when working with children, young people, and their parents, presenting with a range of mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Experience of multidisciplinary and multiagency working eg: with local authorities, education settings and other community services.
Experience of providing a culturally sensitive service.
Experience in managing child protection concerns.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance, as appropriate, to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour.
Willingness to work flexibly
An awareness of own strengths and limitations
Ability to drive between sites and to locality meetings.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Be a car user to enable travel between sites
