Job Title: Mental Health Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs in Bracknell. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and personal development of our students, aged 8 to 18, who have significant developmental trauma, emotional needs, and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide emotional support and guidance to students with complex needs
* Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with therapists and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support

Requirements:

* Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
* Experience working with children with SEN or mental health needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
