National Sales Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious National Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and strengthening existing business relationships, planning and organizing your own diary to follow up on business development and sales leads.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve planned sales targets and goals.
  2. Prepare weekly sales reports, quotations, and order confirmations.
  3. Represent the company at key industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that existing clients are satisfied with the products, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
  5. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor products, and test market products, using this information to develop sales strategies and identify potential areas for growth.
  6. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Requirements

  1. Previous experience in selling heavy plant machinery, ideally within the construction industry.
  2. Commercially astute and able to nurture relationships over long sales cycles.
  3. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or several years' experience in a machinery technical sales role.
  4. Must have experience selling value-added sales, showing how the investment can make the customer money, good quality sales not bottom price discounts.
  5. Able to hold credible conversations, along with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  6. Willing to travel as required in the UK and Ireland, Europe, and worldwide.
  7. Hold a full valid driving license.
