Job Summary:

NJR Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join a world leader in home textiles. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving product innovation and development, working closely with factories and design teams to create new product ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis and provide strategic insights to inform product development decisions
  • Collaborate with factories and design teams to develop new product concepts and designs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners
  • Manage product development timelines and budgets
  • Conduct benchmarking and cost analysis to inform product pricing and profitability
  • Work closely with the category assistant to develop and implement product strategies
  • Provide technical support and guidance to factories and design teams
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge and expertise

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in product development, preferably in a retailer or importer environment
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, including formulas and v-lookups
  • Good understanding of textiles and product development principles
