NJR Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join a world leader in the home textiles industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving product development and ensuring the company's products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis and provide strategic recommendations to the factory to inform product development decisions.
- Collaborate with factories and design teams to develop new product ideas and concepts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with factories to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
- Manage and analyze cost information, including prices, MOQs, and lead times, to inform product development decisions.
- Work closely with the category assistant to develop and implement product development strategies.
- Conduct benchmarking and cross-costing analysis to ensure products meet market standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the factory on product development and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in product development, preferably in a retailer or importer environment.
- Strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with factories and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software, including formulas and v-lookups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Textiles experience preferred, but not required.
