Senior Business Development Manager

At Meridian Business Support, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to drive business growth and develop strong relationships with our clients.
The successful candidate will have experience in account management, customer care, and sales, with a proven track record of influencing and developing strong relationships. They will be responsible for leading the onboarding process with new clients, working closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth setup and delivery of our services.
In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. They will also be able to organise and prioritise their workload, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
We estimate that this role will attract an annual salary of around $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience, plus benefits such as company pension, free parking, health & wellbeing programme, private medical insurance, and work from home options.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the onboarding process with new clients
- Develop and agree strong communication channels with each client
- Visit clients and meet stakeholders regularly
- Produce contact reports from client visits
- Review supplier dashboards and reports monthly
- Identify supplier or client performance issues and agree on an action plan
- Act as the main point of contact for clients
- Issue regular market updates to clients
Requirements:
- Experience in account management, customer care, and sales
- Proven ability to influence and develop strong relationships
- Excellent level of IT competence, including Microsoft Windows Software such as Excel & PowerPoint
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent listener and ability to understand and establish clients' needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
