Senior Business Development Manager

Shoosmiths is seeking a Senior New Business Manager to drive growth and commercial development.
The ideal candidate will have extensive new business generation experience, a strong client network, and a proven track record in managing stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director, Head of New Business, and other BDM leadership team members to drive the strategy forward.
- Manage a client target pipeline, working closely with partners across our Key Pillars and Core Sectors.
- Feed newly acquired clients into the client team and prioritise onboarding solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operational efficiency and excellent client experience.
- Monitor key performance indicators to track progress and success.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on pursuit status, challenges, and achievements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and raise Shoosmiths' profile in the market.
- Work closely with the Head of New Business and Director on strategic pursuit planning.
- Generate leads and introduce partners to new clients.
- Closing new business.
Skills and qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing their client network, making introductions, targeting new prospects, and generating new business.
Risk and commercial awareness are vital to the role, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable managing stakeholders.
Any experience within connected services and holistic solutions would be advantageous.
