Planning and Permitting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Planning and Permitting Specialist to join our team at OXBO, an international Solar & BESS Developer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the planning process for our industry-leading Solar & BESS projects in the UK and further afield.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating planning and permitting activities across the business.
- Assisting with or leading on the preparation of consent applications and advising on the planning aspects of complex schemes.
- Managing the pre- and post-commencement planning process, including discharging and reviewing planning items, preserving existing permissions, and advising on amendment planning applications as required.
Requirements:
- Experience drafting consenting strategies, engagement strategies, planning reports, and managing the preparation of consent applications.
- Experience working on major energy and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with English, Welsh, and Scottish planning particulars.
- Multi-disciplinary consultancy approach with a focus on the energy sector.
- Developing working relationships with consenting authorities and other disciplines within an organisation and external forums.
- Contributing to internal business development and client strategies.
- Capable of managing a challenging and varying workload.
- Degree and/or master's in town planning or a relevant degree, preferably with a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) qualification.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
