Job Title: Environmental Permitting Manager, Infrastructure-Development Specialist

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Manager to join our EMEA Infrastructure-Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental permits and approvals for AWS infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage environmental permitting processes for multiple sites and locations in EMEA
  • Ensure compliance with EU regulations and standards for environmental impact assessments, permit evaluations, and applications
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate, Risk/Due Diligence, Design Engineering, and Legal
  • Travel estimated at 20% to visit potential sites and sites subject to design and permitting
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field of study
  • Experience of EU permit evaluations and applications, Environmental Impact Assessments, biodiversity integration, water discharge requirements, and waste management
  • Experience of environmental permitting in France and Germany
