Operational Permit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit to Work Coordinator for a long-term contract role based in NW England. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team at Donovan Marrison Ltd and contribute to the success of our clients in the oil & gas sector.
About the Opportunity:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of HSE procedures and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Project/Site HSE plans and procedures, reporting any HSE issues, and liaising with the workforce and supervision on HSE matters.
Key Responsibilities:- To implement and monitor Project/Site HSE plans and procedures during operations.
- To report any HSE incidents or near misses on site to the upper HSE referent.
- To maintain open communication with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues.
As a Permit to Work Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all PTW systems, coordinating the process of all Permits, and identifying potential conflicting work tasks on a geographical and time basis.
The Permit to Work Coordinator will manage the PTW office, chair a daily PTW coordination meeting, and conduct internal HSE inspections. Key duties include delivering HSE induction and training, updating HSE procedures for specific tasks, and supervising the implementation of HSE procedures in operative sites.
Adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures is essential, inspecting subcontractors' activities, controlling compliance of equipment utilized on site, and monitoring the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system.
Additional responsibilities include preparing and administering HSE Key Performance Indicators for operational activities, assisting in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose corrective measures, and monitoring and maintaining control measures in the use of hazardous materials.
The successful candidate will also supervise Environmental aspects on site, supporting key personnel.
Requirements:- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Background working on oil & gas sector projects is desirable.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
An attractive estimated salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
