Carrington West is seeking an experienced Permit Officer to join their team on a long-term contract. This role involves working as part of the Network Management team in accordance with statutory requirements and relevant Council policies.

The ideal candidate will have experience drafting temporary traffic management orders, notices, and maintaining the NRSWA Act Permit Register and Local Street Gazetteer. They will also process notice/permit applications from Statutory Undertakers and Highway Authorities, ensuring compliance with codes of practice and specifications.

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Permit Officer looking to take on new responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Network Management team to ensure the council's network management duty is met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting temporary traffic management orders and associated notices
  • Maintaining the NRSWA Act Permit Register and Local Street Gazetteer
  • Processing notice/permit applications from Statutory Undertakers and Highway Authorities

Estimated Salary: £24 - £26 per hour. This is a competitive rate for this role in London.
