The role of a Learning and Behaviour Mentor at Empowering Learning involves supporting children during lessons and school activities, promoting their learning and development. As a skilled professional, you will work collaboratively with staff and children during lunch and break times, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

You will develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with diverse needs, providing daily care support to young people addressing their physical and emotional requirements. Building strong relationships with students is essential, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

We are seeking an individual who can design and deliver 1:1 or small group activities tailored to individual student needs, gathering evidence of student progress informing assessment and evaluation processes. Additionally, you will offer physical management and care to pupils prioritizing their safety and well-being.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a school setting, particularly with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Ability to work effectively with students exhibiting behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a focus on effective communication and teamwork.
  • Passion for supporting and inspiring children, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Knowledge of SEND principles and practices, including mental health support.
  • High levels of care, resilience, and adaptability.
